Chapter I. "On the way to work"

Commuting to work really kills a lot of time for us, but we get to see the country side across the USA.
Our route this time was CA, AZ, NM. First night in Grants, New Mexico. Continuing through Texas to spend the second night in Oklahoma City, then through Arkansas to stay our third night in Nashville, Tennessee.
We liked the radio stations in the Great Smoky Mountains. They played a lot of good Bluegrass. We drove through Virginia and a little corner of West Virginia to get to our fourth night destination in Frederick, MD.
Finally, on the fifth night we arrived at work in Dover, Delaware.

Crossing the Mississippi at Memphis, Tennessee.

Scenes from the beautiful industrial and prosperous East.
It is comforting to see that we still have some factories left in the USA.

Mount Airy, Maryland is the first, but not the last stop in search of Antiques and pre Salvation Army junk.
I was allowed an afternoon of detour into the land of 19th century America. I don't care for museums, so I do my history studies in Antique Malls.
